Some Good Places in Alas Purwo

Alas Purwo is a national park that is located on Blambangan peninsula, southeast region of Banyuwangi. Diverse flora and fauna that populate the main attraction at the Alas Purwo charm, even in it there is also a haven for professional surfers.

Some of the locations that you must visit in the Alas Purwo National Park:
Sadengan
Sadengan is pasturing some unique wildlife such as bison, deer, peacocks, wild boar, and several species of birds and other wildlife. Here are also available lookouts to see the attraction these animals. The best time for observation is early morning and late afternoon.

Pura Luhur Giri Salaka
Historic temple that is still used by Hindus for religious activities. Usually used when Pager Wesi ceremony held once every 210 days. It's located at the entrance to some other location in the Alas Purwo.

Trianggulasi Beach
Beautiful beaches with white sand there are also many trees such Nyamplung and Bogem. The waves are big and not recommended for bathing nor surfing. There used to be some form of accommodation walled wooden house on stilts, but now the situation is damaged.

Pancur Beach
Is a camping ground and parking area before continuing to Plengkung Beach and some caves are nearby. In Pancur there is also a white sand beach with rocks around it. There is also a fountain that never stops flowing water into the sea.

Caves
Alas Purwo at least there are about 40 caves, but the most famous is Goa Istana (Palace Cave), located 2 kilometers from Pancur. The cave visited by people who are hunting for the science of meditation because it is believed some of the caves are places that has supernatural powers.

Plengkung / G-Land Beach
Located approximately 8 kilometers from Pancur. Along the way towards Plengkung found many typical floras such as Kecik sapodilla or Sapodilla Java. Plengkung earned the nickname "The Seven Giant Waves of Wonder" by foreign surfers because the wave rolls up to 6 meters high with a length of up to 2 kilometers. This is a surfer's paradise at the Alas Purwo.

Ngagelan Beach
It is the landing site to lay eggs. Here there are turtle eggs hatching and raising young turtles or hatchlings. Usually there are several species of sea turtles often lay their eggs here as Olive Ridley turtles, leatherback, hawksbill and green turtles in April to October.
